UEP Core Value Highlight: Dependable Team Player

At UEP we have a set of Core Values that were developed from the vision and character of our founder, Frank Smollon, Sr.  More than words on a wall, they are cornerstones of our company culture.  These values are not aspirational, they are who we are, clarifying our identity and setting us apart from our competition.  We hire, fire and promote based on adherence to our Core Values.  They are:

Strong Work Ethic
Trusted Subject Matter Expert
Exceptional Quality of Work
Dependable Team Player

What does it mean to be a Dependable Team Player?  No one person or department is more important than another.  We each have our part to play.  We depend on each other for our mutual success.  The cornerstone of that success is open and honest communication.  When you respect and trust the people you work with, there is no fear in telling the truth.  We care about each other and we’re loyal to each other and the team.  As our owner Frank likes to say, “If we don’t have each other, we don’t have a company.  Non-team players won’t survive here.”
