The challenge for this job was to design a support system that was compatible with a very old building structure. UEP developed the design layout including loading calculations for the supports and overall system design for this complicated generator exhaust flue installation. The contractor was responsible for engineering a support system compatible with our product that would not compromise the integrity of the older brick at the base of the building. It was a true collaboration between UEP, Chesapeake Contracting Group, engineering firm Hord Coplan Macht and the structural steel sub to get this tricky solution right. Schebler Model P2 prefabricated duct was the perfect fit for this project.
