United Energy Products provided the pre-fabricated flue systems for grease duct and oven applications at Kneads Bakery in Baltimore City MD. Kneads Bakery is a new retail outlet owned by the famous Baltimore H&S Bakery family. The store is located in Harbor East, right beside the larger H&S facilities. Kneads will be both an artisan bakeshop and café, specializing in handcrafted bread and baked goods made from scratch in-house. Also, they will have a café menu highlighting its signature product including gourmet sandwiches, pastries, and more. They contacted UEP because the bakeshop and café needed custom grease duct and flue installation.
UEP provided Schebler PA, P1, and FG model flue for various kitchen hoods and ovens. And for this grease duct and flue installation, some of the ductwork will be visible from the seating area in the café. Therefore, we had to keep in mind form and function. This project involved tight coordination between UEP, the sheet metal contractors, and mechanical contractors to ensure all materials ordered were exactly to the right specifications for a smooth installation.
